- Grid magnetic angle calculator. Useful if you’re using digital maps where you don’t know the variation for an area. You have to use a 1 metre resolution to get best results, e.g. NH 28875 85935

Backpacking
- Expedition Foods freeze dried meals. These are superb. I had porridge and strawberries for breakfast at the side of Loch Etchachan on my ML assessment.
- Turmat freeze dried meals. These are absolutely brilliant. Was glad of the pasta provence on a foul and wild night on my ML assessment.
Mountain Guiding
- Stravaiger guiding – me! I’m a qualified ML(S) and can lead groups in the mountains of the UK. My ML logbook pages are here. You can email me at guiding@stravaiger.com
