This little program runs on any 32 bit version of Windows and can be used to fool the boss into thinking you're doing some heavy copying. If he pesters you, just tell him you're backing up his customer's software and if you touch the keyboard while the files are transferring, they'll get corrupted! The application will display the filename it's "copying", so to make the most of it, drop it into a BIG directory and watch the boss's face as you "backup" your hard drive!

Usage:

1) Download the application here (58Kb)
2) Unzip bored.zip to get bored.exe
3) Copy bored.exe to a directory with some files in it and double click it to set it going. You'll see this:

4) The application will work it's way through all the files in the directory, "copying" each one and displaying it's name

5) To set your level of boredom, hold down the CTRL and SHIFT keys on the bottom left of the keyboard to get the following dialog:

6) You have 4 levels of boredom:

• "Moderately idle" - You need a quick yawn before tea break
• "I'm now bored" - You're just back from tea break and need a quick nap to recover
• "I'm depressed" - You've just seen your pay cheque and have lost the will to work
• "Violently bored" - You've just seen your boss's pay cheque and have lost the will to live

Each boredom setting will cause the progress bar to move slower and slower across, giving you vital seconds\minutes\hours of shuteye!
